In an effort to attract a new eastern flight from the Brandon Airport to Toronto Pearson International Airport, the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Brandon, needed timely, reliable market research. The key challenge was gathering a high volume of data quickly while ensuring strong public engagement across diverse audience segments.
We managed the campaign from start to finish, working closely with the Chamber, City staff, and local partners. Our team handled the campaign strategy, design, and execution. To drive survey participation, we launched a multi-channel campaign that included organic and paid social media, targeted email outreach to Chamber members, and region-wide advertising. We designed static and digital ads featuring QR codes displayed on City TV screens and distributed print materials across key locations, including the airport. Paid ads were optimized through targeted and retargeted audiences, ensuring those who hadn’t completed the survey were encouraged to do so, while excluding those who already had. For the follow-up survey, we developed a fresh set of creative assets and messaging to clearly differentiate it and avoid confusion. After both surveys closed, we compiled and presented the findings to the stakeholders and airline representatives.
The campaign exceeded expectations, reaching nearly 80,000 people and generating over 450,000 impressions. More importantly, it resulted in over 10,000 completed survey submissions, delivering valuable public feedback and actionable insights. The data provided a strong foundation to support the Chamber’s discussions with the airline and demonstrated the region’s demand and readiness for expanded air travel options.
